Pokemon Go is a Go
Last year Niantic announced that we work with The Pokemon Company, Nintendo and Game Freak to create a AR (Augmented Reality) game called Pokemon GO. This caught the attention of many people, including me. Niantic is well known for they Ingress game, an Augmented Reality game that uses the real world and Google maps as a battlefield between two factions for alien artifacts.
Back in march this year the first test field was open in Japan, after that Australia and New Zealand, and finally US. Unfortunately it never came to the UK. So all of us on the rest of the Globe had to wait for a field test or a release date on the app store.
The wait is almost over, or at least form some. Pokemon GO rolled out to the Google Play Store and App Store yesterday and it’s available in Australia, New Zealand and the United States. It will be available in other countries around the world in the days ahead.
That means the rest of us will have to wait. But there’s a way, if you’re impatient and an Android user and, you have a compatible phone you can get it from APK Mirror and installing in on your phone.
I been playing since yesterday and I will share my thoughts with you and what is like to play in a future post.
