Solid Angle joins Autodesk
Solid Angle the makers of one the most well Known render soft within the film industry has joined Autodesk.
This is bit of surprising move from Solid Angle and for me personally, but since I only tried Arnold quite recently and still thinking whatever or not I’m switching from Vray to Arnold. This doesn’t have any impact on my current workflow and it probably shouldn’t interfere with yours if you’re a Arnold user.
Although it does leave with a few questions, since Cinema 4D integration is quite recent in Arnold, this might impact recent releases and the future development of this packages, since the attention might go mostly to Maya and 3DS Max.
In a blog post from Solid Angle, their announced that development of Arnold plug-ins for Katana, Cinema4D, Houdini, Softimage and other software will continue, so this might be good news.
Lets see what the future holds for this, and will definitely will keep an eye on any updates on this.
